A handout photo provided by the U.S. Coast Guard shows containment booms set out by local contractors on the Des Plaines River near the Caterpillar plant in Rockdale, IL., Monday, Feb. 9th, 2009. About 6,000 gallons of waste oil ran into the river after about 65,000 gallons of waste oil overflowed from two holding pits at the Caterpillar plant early Sunday, Feb. 8th after a pump failed.

I survived my trip to the Dr. yesterday but my checkbook took a real hit. That girl doctor has no shame or conscience I can tell you that; she charged me $130 to allow me to have the drugs we both know I need to live.

She did nothing more than that. $130 and she didn’t even fill out the prescriptions —— the nurse did that. $130 for a ten minute lecture.

Tracey took her cell phone in but she didn’t take it to the repair guy but to the girl salesperson. She messed with the battery and got it to work but then it wouldn’t work when we got it home —— so I will be taking it back to the technician today.

We will likely have to get it replaced but I want them to copy her information off the dead phone if they can and the sales people rarely understand anything about that.

Aaron did his civic duty last evening. A woman from the Census office called and wanted to speak with the boys about crime in the schools. This is part of an ongoing census survey into regional crime. Aaron agreed to answer her questions —— Ben didn’t want to.
