Ward Churchill, who was a tenured professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO, talks after a jury ruled on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009, in Denver that the professor was wrongly fired by school administrators. Churchill maintained that he was dismissed in retaliation for his comments about victims of the Sept. 11th, 2001, attack on the United States. Churchill was awarded $1, the minimum they could award while still finding in his favor.
