There are many ways of knowing that the motel you are in is old but I have found one for sure. Every one I have stayed in this trip has the old style bottle opener screwed to the front of the bathroom sink. You know the kind that opens the old crimped on bottle caps that were used last century on beer and soda bottles. I havent seen a bottle without a twist cap in at least a couple decades.
The Internet here is a rather hit and miss operation and of course the girl at the desk wouldnt know a modem if it bit her. So my blog may be done for the day.

I just got set up in my Motel 6 room in Joplin, MO. I think a short nap might be in order. I left Texas at 6 a.m. and except for a couple quick stops was on the road all day. I am pooped out!

I dont know how many miles was between your hotels, but to me it sounds like you are really moving right along! I guess TX to MO sounds like a very long ways to drive!
Enjoy your nap and rest up for the last leg of your journey.

Hi Tammy, According to the Google map it was 478 miles. It took me about 8.5 hours with a few stops for gas and potty breaks. I pretty much ate on the road. Tomorrow I should have about 450 miles to get home. And I will be glad to get home. I love to travel and I really enjoyed visiting with Noah but it isnt much fun traveling alone.
