Isn’t that a lovely picture of a beautiful young lady? Lookin’ good Ashley! I hope you had a great time at prom!


Only a couple more days until Tracey and I start driving across the country to attend the wedding. A & B will be home alone but they are old enough now we don’t worry about them doing that. They can take care of themselves.


We spent the weekend mowing grass and trying to get things together for the trip. I still have to mow the front yard. I am really looking forward to this trip!

She had a great time at prom. I guess Pekin prom was held at Countryside in Sunnyland that night too so they visited them! Morton had the tent and Pekin had the building.

One of the girls in her group was voted Prom Queen so that made the night even better. Ashley is counting down the days now. This is her last full week of school. She’s done with high school classes next Monday!

Wow...where did it go?! I’ve mixed feelings too...Andy moves out and Ashley says she’s transferring in 1 year to ISU. 1 more year and then empty nest! YIKES! I’m sooooo not ready for that! (sorry hubby!)

I’m really glad she had a good time —— it is good to make memories. I know how you feel about the empty nest thing —— sorta. A & B are still here for another year or two but it was a real shock when Noah left for Arizona.

It was at least a month before I got used to the idea. I can remember getting ready for bed some nights and wondering when Noah was going to get home —— and then remembering Noah’s “home” was clear across the country.
