I’m still me even after all that’s happened.

I went to #Schnucks yesterday for some groceries. They have at least half of the refrigeration units emptied and turned off. I don’t know if they are putting in new ones, repairing them or just cleaning them, but there wasn’t any meat section to speak of.

So it looks like the east coast is going to get a hurricane and an earthquake in the same week. What are the odds?

Good morning!
The government says that I have to have 16 hours a year of “educational training” because of what I do.

So...last night I went to a Marriott in Normal and listened to a Dr. talk about how important playing is to our development. It made me remember LOTS of times when my kids were little and all of the playing they did! Sure wish kids nowadays would play 1/2 as much as mine did! (I mean outside -- NO video/computer games!)

It was fun and an easy 1 1/2 hours of credit.

Good picture today! One of my favorites!

Gosh! Tracey only has to have ten hours a year and that only just started this coming year. I guess the Medical Mafia managed to avoid that longer than the Education Mafia. Not that I don’t think continuing education is important —— I’m just not so sure about what they consider “education”.

I really like that picture too! I just randomly grab a picture from the archives and this one made me smile!

It’s hard for “my boss” and I to get hours. DCFS doesn’t really have a category for the type of preschool she has. We have to follow the rules for in-home daycare.

Well, we don’t have infants or any children under three. We don’t do diapers or feed them lunch. No nap times at our school either. So, most of the programs that we are offered are more geared towards things we don’t do or have.

At least last night had no age restrictions and could be applied to anybody at any age in any situation. It was nice to have something to really listen to!

Now, some of our hours come from CPR and First Aid renewals. We just completed those. We usually try to go to sessions at Child Care Connection where someone takes a story book and gives you ideas on how to apply it in all subject/academic areas. Those are ok, but how many can you do like that!

I’m worried about what the government is going to require of retirees for “continuing education”! Hopefully I can get by with Nap Taking 101 —— I don’t want to get into Soap Operas Require Daily Viewing! So far us retirees have been allowed to do our jobs without hardly any education required.
