I made a big pot of chili yesterday afternoon —— it seemed to go with the weather. Almost made the cold, wet grocery shopping trip worthwhile.
The remote buttons on the one key we have for the VW have stopped working. I called the VW dealer in Peoria and they want $260 for a new one. $260 for a car key?!
I guess we will just have to use the key to lock and unlock the car. Seems weird after all these years of remote controls, but there was once a time when everybody had to unlock that way.

I’ve had to unlock the van with a key for over a year now, but my van is a 1999. Isn’t the VW new? Sure seems like the remote shouldn’t stop already! Guess they don’t make things like they used to.
I survived 4 “feasts” at school! Now it’s time to plan the real feast. No little ones today. No little ones until Monday.

Good Morning Tammy, The VW is new to us but we bought it used. It is a 2007. We couldn’t afford a brand new one
I found on the Internets how to take key remote apart and I’m going to try putting a new battery in it. We shall see.
That is one thing I DO MISS about work. We used to have some fabulous feasts over the holidays! They would last all week long and it was GREAT! Ben has to work all day tomorrow so he won’t be able to eat with us. So much for calling it a holiday I guess.

That stinks that Ben has to work! It’s rare for a store to close these days. Farm and Fleet closes though.
