Yesterday was a calm and uneventful day the first in a while actually. I only went outside to take the trash to the lane and to put some mail in the mailbox. Very lazy day.
I did talk with Alan a bit on the phone. He went to visit Mom yesterday and we talked about getting her a Life Alert setup so she could get help if she falls or something. I think it is a great idea and Alan said he would take care of it.

A link from Michael T. about how the country would like to see a national election standard. I understand some of the states rights arguments but I do wish we could agree on some simple standards and I am not alone.
This link from Michael T. and the comment, They just dont get it. Hard to believe that a whole party can be this out of touch.
I agree completely with that and I also wonder how much of this has been caused by the greedy types like #DickMorris & #TurdBlossomRove who deliberately mislead people to collect cash?
A couple links from Michael T. on the ridiculous right wing nut charade about seceding from the Union.
I honestly think this is just another out-of-touch lemming leap perpetrated by a VERY small group astro-turfing this insanity in protest of the election.
Any sane person would realize the enormity of such actions and the futility of the posturing but the people leading this hot mess are not sane.
For years, McMaim was one of the most popular politicians in the country. His reputation took a hit in 08, but he had an opportunity to restore it in defeat.
Instead, hes behaved like an embittered partisan warrior. And so far, its an example that Romney and Ryan are following.
#FauxNews The Five argued that petitions created and signed by people calling for secession from the United States following President Obummers re-election were justified because conservative-leaning red states are more financially responsible than liberal-leaning blue states.
But data shows that secession would lead to what is being called a Confederacy of Takers because red states tend to receive more in federal benefits than they pay in taxes, while blue states typically receive less.
