Aaron and Ben left for school last evening. The house became instantly and totally quiet again.
Louie is wandering around the house in a daze he cant quite figure out where everybody went.
At one point over the weekend we had several extra cars in the driveway, empty pizza boxes all over the kitchen and lots of young people laughing, shouting and having a good time. It is so good to have young voices and laughter around.
Saturday morning there were two young men crashed in our living room and I think maybe another one or two in the boys rooms. In a couple weeks they will be back again.
In the meantime Louie wont be getting any pizza crusts, chips and other treats from his young friends.

I was surprised to find a letter from the State Police in the mailbox last Saturday. Turns out it wasnt actually a letter but an application to renew my Firearm Owners Identification (FOID).
I always have mixed feelings about this particular Big Brother law but in the end it isnt really such a big deal I guess.
It seems to be one of those pro forma laws designed by bureaucrats to collect fees and fines rather than any real attempt to track guns or owners.
Although they know I am registered to own a firearm, they really have no idea what, how many or even if there are any firearms in my home. They just have an ugly picture of me and my address which they already had anyway. And, of course, my check for $10.00.

Not only does it aggravate me that these greedy bastards filch our money and resources they want to further leech off of us with this totally fabricated debt crisis. I really wish the main stream media would report the truth for a change and all of it.
