The men the American public admire most
are the most daring liars; the men they detest
most are those who try to tell them the truth.

Tracey and I went to see the movie R.I.P.D. yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t too bad but pretty silly. It reminded me a lot of the Men In Black movies with a really impossible idea and lots of off the wall action. I was glad I took my ear plug again!

We went to #RubyTuesday afterward for some supper. We had a half price coupon so got steak dinners for a good price. I always tell them I want my steak “medium rare” and then explain it should be closer to rare and bloody. The manager came by and asked me if I like my steak cooked “Pittsburgh Rare” —— I agreed but was only half sure of what he was saying. I Googled it after we got home and I was right.

Steak sounds good, but I like mine a little more done than that.

Ashley made it to Union Station and found her friend that was to meet her there. I hope today is fun for them when the all meet for lunch and then the Korean Spa. I also hope Ashley makes it back on the train that’s headed for Normal!

She only gets one chance since she’s taking the last train for Normal. She was smart and arrived early enough in Normal to figure out everything. I hope she’s just as smart tonight.

If all goes well, my kids should meet up at Ashley’s apt. tonight. Andy is in Somonauk again this weekend visiting his girlfriend. They spent yesterday at a water park. I thought that would of been a little too chilly for me!

I worked outside in the backyard all day yesterday. It was perfect weather for it! I love it when I can do things outside and not wilt from heat and humidity. A couple students gave me some things for a “fairy garden” at the end of the school year so I’m creating a “fairy garden”.

Andy gave me a couple of “fairy garden plants” for my birthday so I planted them yesterday. This garden will have to continue next spring since I can’t really plant flowers now. It’s a little one sided, but that’s ok for now.

I’m headed back outside today. I need to work on the garden. I planted some fall radishes and peas yesterday, but the other half of the garden needs attention badly. I will HAVE to come inside more today though since I have laundry going.

Oh, the husband you ask....well, he’s fishing! Yesterday, motorcycle ride and today fishing + Nascar race...

I don’t know Tammy —— it sounds to me like Dave has the right idea. About the only thing I do outside anymore is mow grass, chop weeds and trim trees. I was perfectly lazy yesterday but I have to get out there and get something done today.

I LOVE being outside! Just wish I could have someone take care of the inside stuff. I’ve got it...I will do inside stuff in the winter and outside stuff the rest of the year! Hmmm...wonder if I could buy enough clothes to last all summer and then do the laundry in the winter.
