I know I am beginning to sound like a broken record but I am really tired of trying to watch the evening news and there being nothing reported on but WINTER.
I dont get why it is so much a bigger deal that Raleigh or some other southern city gets four inches of snow and 30°F temperatures and they say virtually nothing when we get more snow than weve had in over a decade or we go with several days with well below zero temps?
Not that I think they should dramatize winter weather but at least do it equally. And why do they let people rant about getting frostbite when it is almost physically impossible to get frostbitten in 30°F temperatures in less than a half-hour?
That is simply untrue drama, not news. It is usually a sign of a poor relationship if all you have to talk about is the weather. I think the evening news networks have finally run out of anything interesting to talk about.

I have a great deal of respect for our weather reporters and forecasters. They make it easier for US to make informed decisions. But I think Al Roker has gone off the rails if he thinks his forecasting abilities give him the moral superiority to decide when cities should close schools. It is my choice to go outside in bad weather. Not Al Rokers or any other weather celebrity.
