It rained almost all night so our yard work got a good soaking. I am surprised that there don’t seem to be many places with standing water so I guess we did a fairly good job after all.

We also tried to transplant a wheel barrow load of cattails to the southwest corner of our property. I dug a hole in a low spot where we get a lot of run off from the rain and dropped them in there. Hopefully it will be wet enough for them.


Ben went back to Edwardsville last evening. Kiefer is still here and there is another car in the driveway we haven’t seen before. We have had a house full of friends most of the week since Thursday but they have been a mannerly bunch without much noise or ruckus. Our kids are growing up.
