My call list for today includes a call to an audiologist. I have always had some ringing in my right ear but it has gotten much worse in the past few weeks and I know my hearing in that ear is not good. It may be time to bite the bullet and start thinking about a hearing aid in that ear. I sincerely doubt they can do much about the tinnitus but maybe they can improve the hearing loss.

Another arcane tradition takes a twist in a modern update. I have to wonder how far into the future we will carry these outdated rituals?
Earlier this month Suzi LeVine, the new American Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, took the oath of office with her left hand on a Kindle opened to the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Please take Dave with you to the hearing dr.! He, too, has the ringing in his ears and doesnt hear as well.
That is one call I have had on my list for awhile actually. I have one ear that is losing hearing, but losing the wrong way for my age. The health dept. always comes out and tests our kids hearing and eyes. My left ear was bugging me so I had her test it. She said that I have hearing loss in my left ear, but its strange because its not the normal hearing loss that you have as you get older.

I have noticed in the past week or so my right ear feels like it has water in it or something. Just a strange feeling and my hearing is considerably less lately in that ear. I am hoping beyond hope it is just ear wax or something but I need to see if I can get rid of that odd feeling. It really bothers me sometimes. Im not too proud to wear a hearing aid if it will help. I was told years ago the ringing was nerve damage and there was nothing to be done about it. Maybe all these years later they have found something that might help? I dont know but think it is worth a try.

I hope you get some good news about your ears. Thats what Dave keeps telling me... theres nothing they can do for my ringing in my ears.
I have trouble with my left ear for a number of years. It is always the ear that spring and fall winds hurt and I get earaches if I dont use cotton in it. I usually have a piece of cotton in my pocket for the playground at school since its alot more windy there than in town. That ear always causes problems with the teeth on that side of my mouth too. Once I figure out who I can go to, then Im going to get it checked out. Id wear a hearing aid too if it would help (if I could afford one!). When Im working at the dish job, people come in my room and scare me if they approach on the left side because I dont hear them coming. I turn and they are just there. I hate that! Good luck!

My problem is because it is my right ear I cant hear Tracey when we are in the car. I know sometimes she thinks I am ignoring her but I just dont always hear her. I know she would like it if I could hear better so she wouldnt have to yell at me all the time or put up with the TV being so loud.
