Tammy > At least more emphasis is being put on preventative measures for hearing loss and tinnitus. When I first hired into CAT they made no effort whatever to abate noise or provide hearing protection. Now I wear ear plugs AND noise dampening ear muffs when I mow, etc. The damage is already done but I want to keep it from getting worse.

After weeks of trying to find out what is going on with ordering a new #FrontDoor I got a call from Lowes yesterday. They cant match the dimensions we would like to have for the overall height of the door. I finally surrendered and told them to order the door. We will have to cut into the vinyl siding above the door but I think that will be better than starting all over. I am disappointed that nobody at Lowes seems to understand simple mathematics. Sign of the times I guess.

When I was there, they required hearing protection, but only as a technicality. Did everyone have earplugs in? Yes. Were they in correctly? Nope . The only guy wearing his hearing protection properly was the guy next to the power hammer in BB (I think it was in BB?).

Hi Noah, Yes, by the early 90s or so it became mandatory to wear hearing protection but the damage was done for me by then. I dont know why I never considered it was a possibility I guess because the damage is so gradual you dont notice until it is too late.
