Tracey worked most of yesterday to finish nailing the trim in the bathroom. She has just a little more caulking, etc. to completely finish this project.


I spent another couple hours slip-sliding the mower through the remaining swamp grass. I almost waited too long. Between the mushy ground and the thick tall grass it was a near thing getting it mowed without getting permanently stuck. I got bogged down several times and just barely managed to get the mower out. What a mess. Sadly in a couple days with this continued rain I will have to start all over again.


Ben returned last evening around 9 p.m. In another week or so we will start moving Ben to his new home in Jacksonville. Then Aaron moves the last part of July to his new apartment on the north side of Peoria. Big changes afoot!

Wow! Empty nest all over again. Congrats to the boys though! I know...you raise ‘em to stand on their own, but that is no comfort to a mom’s heart.

Hi Tammy!
Long time since we’ve heard from you here on the Blog! Yes —— another month it will just be me, Tracey and Louie except for an occasional visit from the boys. It will be hard to get used to again. And so true, Tracey has been looking for excuses to delay Aaron moving since he will have the same job. Ben has to move because his teaching position is to far to commute.
