Saw a blurb on the news last evening about the GQP all up in arms about #Facebook not reporting their insane nonsense as *news* in the Trending News column. Zuckerberg is supposedly going to talk with these sad people and try to explain to them the process by which “news” becomes “trending”.
What a lost cause. 1st he would have to explain to these conspiracy driven losers the meaning of the word “News”. As in silly stuff made up on the Fox Entertainment channel is not actually news. Usually hardly even opinion, but definitely not news.
And then the fact that Facebook is his to do with has he pleases. Just like Fox is the property of the conservative coalition that pretends it is news. He can put anything he likes on his social media program or leave anything off he doesn’t want people to see. He doesn’t have to pretend to be “Fair and Balanced”.
This country used to have a #FairnessDoctrine as part of the FCC to insure equal opportunity in reporting. Now we just have GQP nuts and Teahadis complaining when their goofy world view is violated.
