I cringe a little when I read some articles like this even though I know the odds are very long that any pandemic could result from this kind of research. I probably just watch too many movies about apocalypse?

I think of all the technology advances in autos over the years and I’m a bit amazed at the stuff we take for granted now. I can remember when getting a car with “delay wipers” was a big deal. I can also remember buying a cruise control “kit” for an old van I owned in the 70s and my Dad lecturing me on how “those things” are only going to cause accidents. I think both are now standard on most cars? So I guess a self driving car will some day be taken for granted.
