Two of four Javan green magpies have hatched at ChesterZoo, the first time the world’s rarest magpie has been bred in a UK zoo, providing a major boost to conservation efforts to save the species from extinction. The Javan green magpie is listed as critically endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) but bird experts are warning that the situation may have worsened in recent months amid fears that the magpies may now be close to extinction in the wild, with no recent sightings reported.
I think I finally have my phone working properly again. About a week or so ago I noticed it was hard to get the screen to respond properly and I often had to repeatedly touch letter or number keys.
I tried uninstalling apps I thought might be suspect and various “fixes” I had found in Google searches with no luck. A few days ago I finally did a hard reset which returned it to factory settings and basically wiped everything off the phone.
It took a while to get everything loaded back up, signed in, etc. but it seems to be back in working order. I still don’t know what I had done to confuse it but I’m sure it was some kind of tinkering I shouldn’t have done.
