#TheBigMove Another busy day yesterday. I slept pretty well last night so I feel much better today. I had a heck of a time sleeping for a couple days in a row with my head buzzing with all this recent adventure.
I started at the trailer to turn over a check for our earnest payment and signed the purchase agreement. Found out the guy who does all the work on our cars is the brother of the guy selling us the trailer. The trailer belonged to their folks and their father died a year ago it is taking this long to settle the estate.
I also went to the Oak Lawn business office and got a whole packet of paper to fill out and return.
From there to Morton Community Bank to apply for financing. That went better than I expected because our excellent credit allows for a home equity mortgage without an appraisal. So there are hardly any fees, points, etc. and the loan rate is much lower. Big plus is with a credit line we only use what we need.
So the plan is to get possession of the trailer. Move what stuff we plan to keep into the trailer and once we are moved there we start sorting through the rest of our stuff and either sell it or trash it. That is going to be a pain. We have accumulated a lot of stuff over the past 35 years.
I was back home around noon yesterday and spent another hour or so filling out forms and making copies of our financial records to send to the bank and the trailer park.
