The question should be, is it worth
trying to do, not can it be done.

I was sorry to read about the implosion of the rich kids’ submarine. I see no reason to ridicule them or joke about it, but neither do I deeply mourn them. #Darwin #TitanSub

#ArtificialIntelligence
I read an interesting explanation about exactly WHY AI is currently almost useless. It has to do with how AI is programmed to correlate data. There is some curiosity as to why AI produces visual arts so weirdly. It was discovered that the program compares photos and art to compile aspects of people, animals and scenes. It also recognizes other AI generated images as appealing because those most accurately mimic the algorithms it uses. AI depicted art is proliferated in the databases AI uses, it is attracted to what it recognizes and mimics it. So three eyes and a nose on the side of a face become more realistic to it merely by repetition.

Over fifty years ago my teacher in a high school computer class repeated GI/GO often. Garbage In / Garbage Out. Considering the amount of modified and weird images —— AI rendering of art will always be a bit tainted. Especially if it renders Picasso as art.

Then consider the absolute lies, half-truths and garbage history it also acquires as “data” from the Internet and you should be alarmed that it is used for anything serious.

An interesting comparison was made in the AI discussion. If you presume actual humans have intelligence explain the proliferation of Americans who present bizarre world views.

The answer again is —— GI/GO.

Or as I like to call it —— Fake News.
