How’s this for some Happy Horseshit? I just received an email from #CEFCU
Starting November 15, 2024, CEFCU® will discard deposits if the proper endorsement is not used. Regulation requires the following list of endorsement information to be placed on the back of the check.
To properly submit a Mobile Check Deposit:
• Sign the back of the check. • Write “For Remote Deposit Only” under your signature. • Then write “CEFCU”. • And lastly, write your CEFCU Account number.
It’s bad enough all the “factor authentications” we have to endure to begin with and now this nonsense. “Regulation requires” my ass.

That’s odd! I always forget to put “remote deposit only” and never heard from CEFCU.

I know, same here. I really don’t deposit that many checks anymore, but I don’t like the idea of doing all this clerical crap for them.
