Grease has a nasty, slimy feel when you stick your hand into it and makes a messy prank.

In my early years in building KK at Caterpillar we had a cranky power trucker who was always complaining and griping about his job. He was also pretty slow about moving parts. This can be a pain in the butt when you are supposed to machine so many parts an hour and the trucker doesn’t move the parts tubs so you can do your work.

This slacker was the 1^st person I had ever seen get “greased”. He left his gloves at his hand truck while he was goofing off somewhere and somebody squirted grease into them. Both of them. He was VERY unhappy when he shoved his hand into the glove and felt that gooey mess in there. Then he knew why there was such an audience to watch him do it.

I don’t know that he worked any harder, but he didn’t leave his gloves laying around much after that.

Another good prank is to glue (after 1^st cutting the threaded end off) a grease zerk to the side of a tool box, lunch box, etc. And then put a small blob of grease on the end of it. Preferably with a realisic curl as if it had just been filled with grease.

A truly evil person might actually install the grease fitting and pump the container full of grease but I have never seen or heard of that actually being done.
